Information on purchasing old parts and replacement parts

What is an old part?

Old parts are defective wear parts such as hydraulic pumps, valve blocks and suspension struts, etc. The raw material is generally suitable, however, for reconditioning, ie the wear parts of the items are replaced and the units reassembled. After the final inspection, the parts are packed and released for sale again.

How is the purchase value calculated?

The purchase value is calculated based on the condition of the spare parts and the spare part itself.
In principle, old parts are only purchased if you have purchased a spare part from us in our shop. Only the old part is purchased for which you have purchased a replacement from us.
In other words, if you buy a pump, we will buy your old pump.
As a rule, the purchase prices are as follows:

- € 165,00 hydraulic pumps
- € 195,00 valve units
- € 295,00 suspension struts / shock absorbers

All other parts can be requested in advance by email (zaedowautomotive@icloud.com) or telephone (03874/6631930).

The old parts may not be sent at our expense.

What does an old part have to look like so that we can buy it?

The old part must correspond to the same content that was delivered by us! The purchase price will be reimbursed if your old part does not show any mechanical damage, such as due to an accident. Furthermore, the old part must be free of cracks and breaks.

How do I get my money for the purchase?

After we have received the old part, it is checked here, which usually takes 30 working days. You will then receive a credit for the purchase price. If you have not paid for your order via PayPal, we need your account details in order to be able to reimburse you.

What is old part tax and how is it calculated?

According to Section 10 of the Sales Tax Act (UStG), R 153 (3), a so-called used parts tax is levied on sales of exchange deliveries for the exchange procedure in the motor vehicle industry. It corresponds to 10% of the statutory sales tax on the old part.

The tax can be justified by the fact that a sales tax is due for the 'sale' of the old part to the car repair shop, which private individuals do not pay. In this respect, the car repair shop is obliged to add this tax when the replacement part is sold (indirect tax transfer). A flat-rate residual value of the old part of 10% of the value of the replacement part is assumed.
